What are the payment limits?

The limit for payments via Online Banking and the NatWest Mobile app per working day are:

  • Personal customers - £10,000.00
  • Business customers - £10,000.00

Payments via telephone banking are limited to £10,000.00.

The limit for personal customers is per person not per account. Payments made on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday will form part of the next working day's allowance.

Although these limits are set per person, our personal accounts have a total daily limit of £10,000.00. This means that using our Faster Payment this is the most that can be sent out of any one account per day. For example, if you hold a sole account and a joint account then combined the maximum you can send is £10,000.00.

Need to make a payment for a higher amount?

You can set up separate payments over a number of days. Alternatively you can make a CHAPS payment through your branch. Remember to take your debit card and proof of ID with you.
