To make a payment or transfer using the mobile app please follow these instructions based on what type of device you are using:

Make a payment

  1. On the home screen tap the ‘Payments’ button on the navigation bar located at the bottom of your screen and ensure the account displayed is the account which you want to make the payment from. You can easily swipe to change accounts. Select ‘Move money’ then ‘Make a payment’.
  2. Tap on the existing payee you would like to pay or tap ‘Pay someone new’.
  3. If paying someone new, enter the payee’s first and last name or full company trading name, select the account type (Personal or Business), then the account number and sort code of the person you want to pay.
  4. Enter a reference and choose the amount and date.

To ensure your money is safe, we will sometimes ask you to authorise a payment.

  • If you have registered for face biometrics, we will ask you to use this and you will be able to authorise a new payment up to £20,000.00 for Personal customers or £50,000.00 for Business customers. Mobile payment limits apply

If you haven’t registered for face biometrics you can

  • Use Face ID/Touch ID on iOS, fingerprint on Android or your app passcode up to the mobile app daily limit

Transfer between accounts

Current and savings accounts:

  1. On the home screen tap the ‘Payments’ button on the navigation bar located at the bottom of your screen. Select ‘Move money’ then select ‘Transfer money’.
  2. Ensure the account displayed is set to the account which you want to make the transfer from. You can easily swipe to change accounts.
  3. Choose which account you would like to transfer to and the amount.
  4. Select ‘send now’ or ‘send later’ then tap Continue and ‘Make transfer’.

Cash Management account:

  1. From your chosen eligible account, select the 'Transfer' button from the Home screen, or 'Make a transfer' from the account menu
  2. Choose which account you would like to transfer to and the amount
  3. Select 'send now' or 'send later' then 'Make transfer'
