You'll need an Online Banking activation code when you register or re-register for Online Banking. It's used to generate or reset your PIN and password for your online access.

We'll send your activation code by text message if we have a valid mobile number for you, or by post if you don’t. You should receive a text message immediately which is valid for 20 minutes. If the code is sent by post it should arrive within 10 working days, and will be valid for 45 days from the date on the letter.
